Day 14 - School day + Canterbury Cathedral

Day 14

28/7/2025

St. Lawrence College → Canterbury Cathedral

Today was already the fourteenth day of our journey, and our time in the UK was getting shorter and shorter. Although we're still here, we've already started to miss this place.

This morning, as usual, we practiced speaking, reading, and writing. In the afternoon, we took another trip to Canterbury by train. First, we spent half an hour shopping on the street, buying souvenirs for relatives and friends. Then, we visited our main destination for the day - Canterbury Cathedral.

The cathedral’s appearance alone amazed us, and the intricate carvings on the walls left us absolutely amazed. Stepping inside, we were stunned once again. The colorful stained-glass windows were crystal clear, and the images on them were breathtaking. As we walked around, admiring the architecture and listening to its history, everything felt almost unreal. At one point, we heard a choir practicing. Their voices carried an incredibly sacred quality.

In the evening, we shared fish and chips with our host family by the wharf. Since this was likely our last chance to eat this dish in the UK, we savored every bite, wanting to memorize its taste.

Time flies so fast. Each day slips away in an instant. Now, more than ever, we will cherish the little time we have left here.
