Day 4 - School day + Ramsgate Tunnels

St. Lawrence College → Ramsgate Tunnels




Today, we went to the Ramsgate Tunnels in the afternoon, and it was super cool! The tunnels were dark and mysterious, and we loved learning about their history. 


   


 




After we finished exploring, we went to the supermarket to buy some snacks. We had yummy yogurt because we were really hungry at that time. After that, we went to the beach nearby. The sun was shining, and the sand was warm. It was so nice and relaxing! We sat on the beach and enjoyed watching the waves. We also played in the sand. We built really tall sandcastles and even found some pretty seashells. We dipped our toes in the water, and it was so refreshing! Everyone laughed and we had a really great time!


 


It was such a fun day! We loved exploring the tunnels, enjoying our yogurt, and playing at the beach. We just can't wait for our next trip to Ramsgate again!

Day 15 29/7/2025 St. Lawrence College  → Broadstairs Cricket Club It’s the second-to-last day in the UK! We’re both excited and sad. We’ll miss the UK very much!   In class, we did a speaking activity where we described our whole UK trip in one word. Then, we made a thank-you card for Ms. Brown. It was very emotional! We even cried a little.             Afterward, we happily walked to the Broadstairs Cricket Club to try playing cricket. The teachers taught us how to throw the ball and how to hit it with a bat. It was thrilling to listen to their instructions! Before the lesson ended, we played a really fun game. Everyone was laughing as they left!     Following the amazing cricket activity, Ms. Brown picked us up early, and we went home to pack our things. Day 2 - School day + Deal Castle

Day 2 16/7/2025 St. Lawrence College  →  Deal Castle Today started with the cries of seagulls. We got up early to attend classes on time at 8:30 a.m. Ms. Eileen prepared a hearty breakfast for us, offering many kinds of oatmeal, as well as chocolate bread and pancakes. After breakfast, Ms. Eileen drove us to St. Lawrence College for our classes. Our teacher, Mr. David, is friendly and funny, and his class was both easy and interesting.         At the most anticipated lunchtime, we enjoyed our packed lunch prepared by Ms. Eileen. There were many different types of food in the lunch bag, and the bread was wrapped in tin foil, which was very considerate. Day 1 - Hong Kong → London Heathrow Airport → Ramsgate

Day 1 15/7/2025 Hong Kong  →  London Heathrow Airport  →  Ramsgate   We are so excited about today! Thank you so much, Mr. McDonald, for coming to see us at the airport. We arrived in the UK at 3:30 PM, and we were all very tired because of the long flight. We had a lot of plane food during the long journey. We met Mr. David, Ashley, and their two sons on the coach. They are very friendly and nice.                   Later, we met our host family in Ramsgate. Our host mum, Ms. Eileen, has many cute pieces of furniture and a charming fridge! She is a very good listener and always addresses our questions and provides advice. We are very excited about the upcoming days. It has been a tiring day. Since we need to get up early for classes, we'll all go to sleep at 11:00 PM after getting some snacks. This is the end of our day.   By Neva, Elsa, Jessie
