Free day with host family

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to our blog! Today is the 20th of July, which is also a free day with our host family. We just couldn’t wait to start the day this morning!

We woke up at 9am because we wanted to sleep longer. For breakfast, we had cereal, bread with jam, and orange juice. After finishing our breakfast, we went back to sleep until 1pm and then had lunch at home. We had "dry dry bread”, chocolate, chips, and a pear for lunch. We ate quickly because we wanted to go shopping. When we went out, it was raining heavily, so we took our umbrella with us and started walking. After about 20 minutes, we arrived at Westwood Shopping Centre to shop!



 

 


I bought a hoodie and a drink, while Zoe only bought a drink. The drinks were amazing! Zoe said her mocha tasted quite good. After we finished our drinks, we went to the Prime supermarket. Then, we walked home slowly. At 6pm, we had dinner, which was typical British food prepared by our host mum. There were pies, vegetables, and potatoes. After dinner, we took a shower, and now we’re about to sleep. Good night!

Day 2 16/7/2025 St. Lawrence College  →  Deal Castle Today started with the cries of seagulls. We got up early to attend classes on time at 8:30 a.m. Ms. Eileen prepared a hearty breakfast for us, offering many kinds of oatmeal, as well as chocolate bread and pancakes. After breakfast, Ms. Eileen drove us to St. Lawrence College for our classes. Our teacher, Mr. David, is friendly and funny, and his class was both easy and interesting.         At the most anticipated lunchtime, we enjoyed our packed lunch prepared by Ms. Eileen. There were many different types of food in the lunch bag, and the bread was wrapped in tin foil, which was very considerate. Day 15 - Award Ceremony & Cricket

Day 15 29/7/2025 St. Lawrence College  → Broadstairs Cricket Club It’s the second-to-last day in the UK! We’re both excited and sad. We’ll miss the UK very much!   In class, we did a speaking activity where we described our whole UK trip in one word. Then, we made a thank-you card for Ms. Brown. It was very emotional! We even cried a little.             Afterward, we happily walked to the Broadstairs Cricket Club to try playing cricket. The teachers taught us how to throw the ball and how to hit it with a bat. It was thrilling to listen to their instructions! Before the lesson ended, we played a really fun game. Everyone was laughing as they left!     Following the amazing cricket activity, Ms. Brown picked us up early, and we went home to pack our things. Day 1 - Hong Kong → London Heathrow Airport → Ramsgate

Day 1 15/7/2025 Hong Kong  →  London Heathrow Airport  →  Ramsgate   We are so excited about today! Thank you so much, Mr. McDonald, for coming to see us at the airport. We arrived in the UK at 3:30 PM, and we were all very tired because of the long flight. We had a lot of plane food during the long journey. We met Mr. David, Ashley, and their two sons on the coach. They are very friendly and nice.                   Later, we met our host family in Ramsgate. Our host mum, Ms. Eileen, has many cute pieces of furniture and a charming fridge! She is a very good listener and always addresses our questions and provides advice. We are very excited about the upcoming days. It has been a tiring day. Since we need to get up early for classes, we'll all go to sleep at 11:00 PM after getting some snacks. This is the end of our day.   By Neva, Elsa, Jessie
